Graveyard on the Hill
updated poem
Oh, how I long to walk among you,
Lined up matching stone soldiers,
one by one by one.
Our closeness,
balanced nonsensically,
side by side by side.
Somehow parallel,
even six feet down,
as I see them all,
only for a moment.
Laid within the dirt,
just as life laid with us,
all and the rot,
patient.
